These cups press into the stock necks of '57 to '81
Sportsters® and allow the use of late model Timken® style bearings and races, and
the
longer 1" stem used on late model and custom front ends. No machining of your existing neck or the late model
front end is required. These are crafted from mild steel suitable for
painting, powder coating, or chroming.
If you have wanted to install that late model or custom front end on your
Ironhead Sportster® and have been confused by all the advice to machine this and
change that, these are the parts you need.
These will use the dust shields from an FL, FXWG, Softail® or FLT/FLHT models from 1949 thru
1988, and bearings from Big Twins from 1960 to present and Sportster®
models from 1986 thru 2003.
